Ready to Fight for Your Rights

I am a  licensed to practice in the state of Texas, in the Federal Courts of Texas, and in the Supreme Court.

I am also board certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Only about 7% of attorneys in Texas are board-certified.

Being licensed in a particular jurisdiction means I can go wherever the client needs me to go. I am familiar and comfortable with all of the areas where I am licensed to practice, meaning I can travel all over the state of Texas to help my clients with their case.

Brent Mayr:  I’m licensed to practice in the state of Texas, representing individuals all across the state. I’m also licensed to practice before the federal courts here in the state of Texas as well.

In addition to being licensed by the State Bar of Texas, I’m also board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in criminal law. Essentially that allows me to hold myself out as an expert in criminal law. It’s a distinction that’s only reserved for about seven percent of attorneys practicing in the state of Texas. You can only obtain it after having proven that you are experienced and knowledgeable in a certain area of law.

If you’re not licensed to practice it before a certain jurisdiction, then you’ve got to go through the steps to get licensed before you can represent the individual. Being licensed in a particular jurisdiction makes it to where not only can I practice there, but I have been there before or I’m comfortable or experienced with going to wherever you need me to go.
